European Incretin Study Group – Meeting 2022
About the Study Group
The European Incretin Study Group evolved from the European Club for the Study of GLP-1.
The Study Group was established in 2014 in response to a growing desire from basic scientists and clinical researchers to have a specialist forum for those interested in all aspects of incretin and related hormones.
The goal of the Study Group is to bring together researchers in academia, hospitals and industry to exchange data and expertise in order to advance the understanding of the physiology of incretin and related hormones and their role in the pathogenesis and treatment of metabolic and other diseases. The overall aim of the European Incretin Study Group is to extend our understanding of the broader incretin field and to disseminate relevant information to the wider scientific community.
The European Incretin Study Group hosts meetings every other year, attended by 120-150 participants. New and unpublished data are shared and discussed in environments designed to promote scientific debate and encourage the formation of new research partnerships and friendships:
- 2015: 15-17th January in Copenhagen, DK
- 2017: 12-14th January in Pisa, IT
- 2019: 24-26th January in Bochum, D
Membership: There is no formal membership of the Study Group. Anyone with an interest related to incretin hormones are invited to participate in the activities of the Incretin Study Group.
