Vanessa Sousa did her Master’s dissertation at the Molecular Genetics Unit, Centro de Genética Médica Dr. Jacinto Magalhães (CGMJM), Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Santo António (CHUdSA). She has a degree in Genetics and Biotechnology, from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, and recently completed her Master’s in Clinical Laboratory Genetics at the University of Coimbra. Since 2021 she has been at CGMJM where she learned several techniques used in pre and postnatal molecular genetic diagnosis of monogenic diseases. Her dissertation is focused on comet assay and female infertility.
