Cristina Alexandra Alves dos Santos. Completed the Degree in Biology on July 2021 at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto (FCUP) and later the MSc in Applied Biology on December 2023 at Universidade de Aveiro (UA). Having presented a thesis titled “Peripheral Immune Response and Its Epigenetic modulation in Human Refractory Epilepsy: a Preliminary study” under the supervision of Bárbara Guerra Leal, PhD at Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar (ICBAS). My main interest is in Molecular Biology especially in genetics and immunology. During my master’s thesis I had the chance to work on these areas developing skills in cell culturing, gene expression analysis and RNA/DNA extraction.
