Antonio Azevedo concluded his MSc in Bioengineering at FEUP/ICBAS in 2017, having done his thesis research work on the identification of genetic modifiers in Huntington‘s Disease by in vivo genome editing in the Mouro/Wheeler Lab, at the Center for Genomic Medicine, Harvard Medical School / Massachusetts General Hospital. In 2018, he obtained a Post-Graduation in Healthcare Management at Porto Business School. Currently, he is a final year medical student at ICBAS. His main scientific interests are the study of the genetics, molecular mechanisms and pathology of neurologic and neuropsychiatric disorders, in particular the role of neuroinflammation in Alzheimer’s Disease, Lewy Body Dementia and cases of mixed pathology.
