José Carlos Oliveira

José Carlos de Azevedo Oliveira was born on 1957, in the city of Porto.
In 1976 he began his medical studies at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar of the University of Porto, which he completed in 1982.
Attended the Internship in Clinical Pathology at the Santo António General Hospital and was admitted in February 1992 as Hospital Assistant in Clinical Pathology in the Clinical Chemistry Service at the Santo António General Hospital.
In January 2002 he was appointed Head of Service Hospitalar de Patologia Hospital Geral de Santo António and in June 2003 he was appointed Director of the HGSA Clinical Chemistry Service, a post he occupies until the present moment.
Participated in the teaching of Community Health at ICBAS from 1982 to the end of 1994.
Participated in the teaching of Human Physiology II at ICBAS from 2002 to 2019.
From 2010 to 2013 was co-regent of the chair of Laboratory Semiotics of the Integrated Master’s Degree in Medicine of ICBAS.
Since 2014 is regent of the chair of Laboratory Medicine Semiotics of the Integrated Master’s Degree in Medicine of ICBAS.
