Mariana P. Monteiro, MD, PhD, General Coordinator of UMIB – Multidisciplinary Unit for Biomedical Research, and Emídio Vale Fernandes, MD, gynecologist at CMIN – Centro Materno-Infantil do Norte Albino Aroso and student of the doctoral program in Medical Sciences at ICBAS, attended the , to promote recent scientific advances of the project “Impact of clinical and metabolic profile, FMR1 gene and other genetic modifiers on female fertility” granted by MERCK.
At this meeting, Emídio Vale Fernandes presented the most recent original data derived from the project during his talk entitled ‘The predictive value of AMH in medically assisted reproduction – the reality of a Portuguese university center,’ while Professor Mariana Monteiro presented a plenary lecture on the topic ‘Obesity and Fertility’.
