About Us

Funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), project EQUPAR+2: UID/PRR2/00215/2025 strengthened the research infrastructure of the Multidisciplinary Unit for Biomedical Research (UMIB) through the installation of an advanced microscopy platform, including the acquisition of a high-resolution fluorescence microscope equipped with spinning disk technology.

This state-of-the-art microscopy system significantly enhances UMIB’s imaging capabilities, enabling high-resolution, high-speed visualization of biological processes in cells and tissues with greater sensitivity and precision.

By investing in cutting-edge scientific infrastructure, UMIB continues to strengthen its capacity for excellence in biomedical research, foster national and international collaborations, and drive scientific innovation with a meaningful impact on healthcare and society.
