1993 – Degree in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) – Scientific and Technological Specialization Branch in Ecology and Zoological Resources.

1995 – Completed the 5th extracurricular year at FCUP, the Professional Internship – Theme “Phenotypic Appreciation of a Nucleus of Cattle of Barrosão Breed and Sampling for its Genetic Characterization” – and Seminars of the Biology Course of the same Faculty, with the classification of 18 (eighteen) values.

1998 – Completed the Master’s Degree in Applied Ecology at FCUP – having presented the work entitled “GENETIC CHARACTERIZATION OF THE BARROSÃ BOVINE BREED – Studies of biochemical, family and population genetics” in his dissertation, with the classification VERY GOOD.

Trained in several laboratories of Medicine for Human Reproduction during 1998 and early 1999 under the supervision of Prof. Mário Sousa and Dr. Joaquina Silva.

2012 – Obtained the European Certification of “Senior Clinical Embriologist”, recognized by the Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).

Worked, from 1999 to September 2009, as Superior Technician in Reproductive Medicine – Senior Embryologist and as head of the PMA Laboratory (Medically Assisted Procreation), at the Obstetric and Gynecological Clinic of Espinho (COGE).

Worked in 2009 at CLIMER in Coimbra, as Superior Technician – Senior Embryologist responsible for the Laboratories.

Works, since September 2009, as Superior Technician – Senior Embryologist in charge of the CPMA Laboratories (Medically Assisted Procreation Center), at the Porto Hospital Center, currently the Materno Infantil do Norte (CMIN).
